Gator Quilt

Here is the "Gator" quilt that I made for a friend's new baby boy. They are big Gator fans.

It is a quick quilt as I made it in a weekend. I only had a little of the Gator fabric in my sewing room, and when I went to buy some more, they were all out, so I had to make it whit what I had on hand. They liked it, so I guess it is OK. I really wanted to do a different pattern, but.......... like I said, I had to use what I had on hand. I had fun making it.

Good Day Here

Well, having a good Saturday at home with my Hubby. Got the new "around shelves" added in my sewing room. Almost got everything all sorted out and put up.
Soon will be time to get busy sewing on a new quilt.
Then I want to get some bead work done.
I have to start thing about what I want to make everyone for Christmas this year. (It's never to early for me to think about making things for Christmas!)
Now off to do a little more in my sewing room.

What I been Up To

Boy, it's been a while, I need to get back to this blog. Just one more thing!?
This evening I am moving out most of the things in my sewing / craft room. Tomorrow morning, someone is coming in to put a shelf around the whole room about 14 inches from the ceiling. Boy do I need that.
Then, when I get in from work, I get to go through everything, sort it, and put it all where it belongs.
I just wonder what I am going to fine that I don't remember having? LOL
Anyway, it's going to be nice to have things where I can see them and get to them easier.
Now, to work moving things in here.

Little Something I Made

Here is the little pin cushion that I made just to see if I could make it. It's called "Biscornu" pin cushion. Had fun learning how to do it. Very easy to make. I want to make some for my quilting friends for Christmas gifts.

Rambling

So many things I want to do today, but will only get a few done. I have a wedding quilt to make, and it will have to be done by the end of March. No problem there, I have everything to make it, just need to start working on it. I also have a baby quilt to make. It will be easy to do as I will be doing a quick turn on it.
I hope I will get the time this evening to work on my scrap booking. I have not even done my wedding pictures yet. We were married in December of 2008.
The bird feeder is already filled, and the bird bath too. So my "outside stuff" is done for now.
This morning I went through some of my beading stuff and got it all sorted and organized. I did not realize how bad it had gotten. Looks a lot better now, and I can find things easier now too.
Now if I could have everything here organized I would be in good shape!

Stach And Stuff

Today is a cold day. In the 20's last night. Good day to work in my sewing room and "sort" things.

As with most quilters, I have a good size stash of fabric, and need to use up some. So I have decided to not buy any fabric till I use up some of my stash. Hope I will be able to do it. I guess I have to stay out of the fabric store for a while! LOL But a quilter can never have to much fabric!

I do not have a big stash of yarns. I have been a knitter for over 40 years, but taught myself to knit socks about a year ago. Good sock yarn cost a little to much for me, so I use what I can get. I do love the fine sock yarn for knitting socks, but again that is hard to find in my price range. I will not let that stop me from knitting socks thou!

I used the "self patterning yarn" in this pair. I love the way the yarn works up.

Picture Day

Today I was busy trying to get the pictures in order that I want to add to my blog. I think I will start out with my Sunbonnet Sue quilt that I made. Also here is the seed bead necklace that I made for myself. I love beading, and I love working with seed beads.

Hello and Welcome!
I want to keep track of what I do, and the things that go on here, so here I am.
I hope to be adding pictures of a lot of things. I have a lot of different interest, and sometimes it seems a little crazy here. But it all gets done in the long run.
So this is my first entry here, and hope there will be many more.
